Job Filter Check ("the extension", "we", "us") is a Chrome extension that analyzes a job posting you are viewing and compares it against a profile you create, to flag likely hard-requirement mismatches before you apply. We do not sell your personal data and do not run background tracking. The extension does nothing until you explicitly click Analyze this page.
Operated by the developer of the "JobOut" project. Contact: pranjaloff13@gmail.com.
a) Profile information you enter (stored locally in your browser): work authorization (country, status, visa name and validity), location (city, country, willingness to relocate), work experience (company, title, industry, dates, descriptions), education, skills, and any other fields you fill in.
b) Job-posting content — only when you click Analyze this page: the URL, title, and visible text of the posting in your active tab.
c) Account data — only if you sign in for premium: your
email and basic Google profile info (Google Sign-In scopes
openid, email, profile).
d) A random device identifier (UUID) stored in your browser, used to count free-tier analyses.
e) Usage counts — number of analyses, for enforcing limits.
We do not collect browsing history, keystrokes, or the content of any page other than the one you explicitly analyze.
When you click Analyze this page, the job-posting content and your active profile are sent over HTTPS to our backend, which sends this text to Google's Gemini API to extract and compare requirements. Your device identifier and, if signed in, your session token accompany these requests. If you do not click Analyze, none of this data leaves your browser.
To produce the job-match verdict you requested; to enforce free and premium limits; to create and manage your subscription if you pay; and to operate, debug, and secure the service. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it.
We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by law.
Profile data lives in your browser and is removed when you delete the profile or uninstall. Account, subscription, and usage records are retained while your account exists and deleted on request. Verdict results may be cached on your device for up to 7 days.
Edit or delete any profile from the Options page. Request deletion of your account and server-side data by emailing pranjaloff13@gmail.com. Cancel a subscription from within the extension (subject to the stated window) or by contacting us.
Data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Server-side secrets are stored as managed application settings, not in source code.
Intended for job seekers; not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
We may update this policy as the product evolves; material changes update the effective date above.
